Merlin the Wizard - Celtic Mythology Print
Merlin is the wise man and wizard from Celtic and Arthurian legend, known as the mentor and adviser of King Arthur. In folklore, he is connected with magic, forest wisdom, wild animals, transformation, and hidden knowledge.
In some interpretations, the forest hermit image of Merlin is also linked with older pagan figures such as Cernunnos, the spirit of the forest, animals, and magic.
This print is based on an illustration by Aubrey Vincent Beardsley, created in 1894.
A beautiful gift for admirers of Arthurian legends, Celtic mythology, Merlin, Aubrey Beardsley, occult symbolism, forest magic, and Art Nouveau illustration.
