Urban Grandier’s Pact with the Devil - Occult Document Print
This print shows a reproduction of the alleged pact of the priest Urban Grandier with the Devil and several demons, including Leviathan and Astaroth. The image is based on an old document with handwritten text and strange signatures.
Urban Grandier (1590–1634) was a French Catholic priest accused of devil worship and witchcraft. In 1632, a group of nuns claimed that he had caused their possession. During the trial, the court was shown a supposed “contract with the Devil,” said to be signed by Grandier and connected with demons such as Satan, Lucifer, Astaroth, Leviathan, and Beelzebub. Grandier denied the charges but was found guilty and burned at the stake.
